Dear Santeeswapper LLC, The Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter is written with Boy Scout memorabilia collectors in mind. Each week I spend hours scouring eBay and hand picking noteworthy auctions to feature. Take for example this gem that is already over $600 with time counting down. Click on the picture to see it on eBay and then keep on clicking through the rest of these top picks - all live auctions ending in the next 72 hours on eBay. Thanks for reading!
Great Vintage Boy Scout Auctions Live
This newsletter is all about live auctions in the Boy Scout category of eBay. Well it just so happens that there are about 46K of those running right now so this issue of the Hot Finds should help you narrow down the best out there.
I didn't spot any $100+ OA listings this week that have already received bids. However, several of these listings have multiple bids and they are worth a look.
This last block has a mix of the old and new. You can choose from 1940s era community strips all the way to hot off the press World Jamboree and council issues.
I've got a big batch of auctions closing Thursday that you might want to investigate. These links show you the major types in case any of these interest you.
I won't be airing an episode of Scouting Hot Finds Radio this week. However, you can always listen to the archived shows in iTunes or on ScoutingHotFinds.com. Instead I'm going to get hard to work on another project that I hope to announce in the next newsletter. This project is one that I hope will draw the interest of a broad range of collectors and serve as a handy resource guide for years to come. But I better not count my chickens before they hatch - I'll get to work on it and look for the big announcement Friday.
So who says that patches are the only thing really worth looking at in the Boy Scout category of eBay. There are lots of other items that get bids and do very well thank you so I've got some of those featured in this post. I think I may have had a few of these included in my Hot Finds Newsletter as well.
When you click to watch the video you will need to hit the button to view it "full screen" otherwise it will be hard to make out the details on the Top 10 auctions.
One of the cool pieces that sold this week was a BADEN POWELL SIGNATURE AUTOGRAPH FRAMED PORTRAIT FOUNDER OF BOY SCOUTS. Not many people can say that they have a copy of BP's signature. Another really neat item to make this Top 10 list that has connections to the UK is WWI ERA BRITISH BOY SCOUTS LIFE SAVING MEDAL WITH ORIGINAL RIBBON. For those of you that are more interested in American Scouting pieces you can't go wrong with the top seller of the week which was the DIEGES & CLUST STERLING EAGLE SCOUT MEDAL.
I have included links to all the Top 10 auctions on this show notes page so that after you watch the video if you want to go in and take a closer look you can do that.
I'd like to see another set of belt buckles sell for over $500. http://t.co/n65xSZ0t - posted on 07/02/2012 02:38:28

So who can tell us what drove these two sashes into the stratosphere? I'd call $3875 pretty impressive wouldn't you? http://t.co/QeaInhEP - posted on 06/02/2012 14:59:06
