| Vintage Scout Auctions Leading The Way |
I am keeping an eye on the 1937 shoulder flash that is from a council in Texas. You don't see those sell very often and knowing those TX collectors there should be a lot of interest in this one.

| Great OA Issues & Conclave Patches |
The unusual thing about this big run of WWW is that very few of the Hot Finds picks are flaps. There are many odd shapes, rounds and great Texas conclave meeting patches in here.

| Auctions Getting Bids/Ending Soon |
I have WJ items scattered throughout this issue and they are not all from the same seller. The lot of books below has started shooting up as the clock nears for the auction gavel to fall.

| Boy Scout Auctions Ending Sunday-Monday |
The 10K gold OA ring only has one bid so far but that still places it in the top 5% of sales price in this issue of the Hot Finds.

I have been hinting at a big project for some time now and today I'm ready to announce. Tuesday I am publishing the first in a series of Boy Scout Memorabilia Prices Realized Guides. The first edition I'm calling "The $1000+ Club" and features the top selling Boy Scout collectibles from 2011. There were 126 listings by my count that sold for $1K or more last year. This book features each one with complete historical data, pictures, description etc. I hope this first guide will give you a sense of what I'm doing with this Prices Realized Project and that you will be hungry for more. I've got over 4,000 items I'm compiling into the series including all your favorites: Eagle Scout, OA, Awards & Medals, you name it. Its hard to explain the project in words so Monday I'll be publishing a video on the Facebook Page showing you the project. The first guide goes live Tuesday AM and of course the link to purchase it will be in the Hot Finds Newsletter! That's why its always a good idea to "like" the Scouting Hot Finds Facebook Page so you can be among the first to see the video.

Vintage Scouting Memorabilia Up For Bids
There are some nice pins in this block including everyone's favorite- the Eagle rank pin. I don't know how "vintage" that Size 8 ring is but it looks good regardless.

Boy Scout Auctions Ending Tues-Thurs
I don't know if those official Scout boots were every used. I don't think an adult could fit into them but maybe they would make a good gift for a Scout. The other patch you don't see very often is the Friendship Award from the 1967 World Jamboree.

With an old felt camp patch, and lots of other vintage pieces I think this block turned out just fine.

I would say the last few weeks have been pretty light for WWW collectors. Luckily, that slump is being broken by today's great picks. There are some nice issues running in this issue including one flap that is over $500+. Can you guess which one?

I've never heard of the Region 7 Eagle Scout Forestry Camp but its been bid up to $92 and counting so I'll remember it now. That clean copy of the 1st edition would make a great gift for a Scoutmaster.

I hope to finally roll out my big Project "X" next week. I've hinted at it for some time now and its finally almost ready. While I don't think it will be earth shattering I hope that the loyal readers of the Hot Finds will find it to be a real treat. I want to publish it and hit the ground running but I need a few more days to get all the pieces in place. A Vigil Honor ceremony guide on eBay. I thought there was a line in there that said "protect this pamphlet" or something like that. Oh well you can probably use Google to find out the secrets of the honor so I guess selling it on eBay is not a mortal sin.

The first two listings here are ones that I really recommend you check out. The 1 per n/c from Lodge 466 is catching fire. Meanwhile, when is the last time someone sold a complete flap collection from a lodge that is probably at S100+?

I wonder how many camps used those "Camp Staff" pieces on neckerchiefs? I know my home camp did and I seem to remember some years they were in blue.

72 Hours or Less For These Nice HF Picks
I really can't explain why the lot of uniforms included below has been bid up over $50. There doesn't look to be anything special about them but maybe I'm missing something. I do however see the attraction for the neat BP slides that are running this week.

On Scouting Hot Finds Radio this week we will hear from Roy More regarding the Blue Book 2.0 project. I've got part 1 of a session Roy did at the Dallas TOR where he goes through the whole update and we even get to debating some aspects of the revision. I am tweaking the time for my radio show starting this week. Instead of airing it at night I'm going to do it during Patrick's nap which would be work even better for me. So the show will air at 1 PM Eastern on Wednesday the 8th. As always you can listen to it later using the same link or in iTunes as a podcast.
